With technology at our service, we decided to take the digital fabrication initiative a step further. We invited Helder Santos (https://uk.linkedin.com/in/helderlsantos) an experienced Industrial Designer, currently working in the UK to demonstrate the power of Digital Fabrication, by designing an element related to the discussion during the timeline of the Session itself.
“I was attending the session remotely from London and the object would be 3D printed on spot in real time. This kind of initiative really helps identifying the pain points hardware projects go through in the beginning”, Helder added.
This is indeed an expression of today’s reality. People working remotely in cooperation and producing new concepts and products on a world scale. Helder ended up creating a MAKER WOMAN COOKIE CUTTER, which is both symbolic and useful 🙂 It can be downloaded here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1601667
Thanks Helder! And a big thank you to all the community.
